My third halloween look is this cute but disfigured doll!! its a sort of tim burton inspired doll with stiched lips and very sad eyes!!! hope you like it :)

Halloween!!!

Halloween is a coming and I cant wait:) so for all this month I will be doing weekly Halloween inspired makeup to help all of you out there decide on what you might want to be this Halloween!!!

This is my first look!!
I call it Frankenstein Gal!!

Sandymount shoot

Its been a long time comming!!
Myself and Jason McDonald have been trying to organise this shoot since july!! The first model had to drop out due to mumps scare! the second model didnt arrive at the shoot didnt answer phone and still hasnt given us a reason for not arriving that day!! The third model fell down the stairs so she couldnt do the shoot!!!
But finally after all this time we found 2 fab models Zara http://www.modelmayhem.com/1788834 and Ania-Maria http://www.modelmayhem.com/1249601
who both arrived at the shoot raring to go!! It was non stop shooting, outfit changes and makeup touch ups!! Look after look was created and we finally have our beautiful shots!!! :)
I want to thank the 2 models and the wonderful Jason for a great day shooting!! And I look forward to working with them all again!!!

costal scents/120 color palette/fraulein

Dont do it no matter how inviting the price is or how good ebay makes them sound just dont do it!!!!
If you are a professional makeup artist stay away from ebays costal scents palettes, all of the 'pro' color paletts from 1 to 120 even the fraulein palettes oh and not forgetting the strangely cheap 'MAC'palettes!!! MAC doesnt sell anything that cheap!!!!!
they are all the same generic palette (in different cases) made in China r Singapore r Thailand!!! (even if they are being sold from england they wer prob just bought in bulk to be sold)
Back when i first started doing make up i bought one thinkin great :) i get like 40 eye shadows for like 10 euro thats all the colors i could possibly need!!
these eyeshadows are fine if you are doing one block color on your eye but as soon as you start to build them up or try to blend a second color on top of the first you will see how bad these eyeshadows really are!!! the second color wont stay on top of the first it just seems to fall off!!! now i only use this palette for filling in eyebrows!!
they are just not worth it if you want a professional look!!

now if your 15 year old daughter (or son) is at you to buy them eyeshadows (especially if dey want expensive mac eyeshadows) then buy them these palettes it will save you money n shut them up till they can afford to buy there own!!

but if you are a pro just spend the extra and get yourself a MAC pro palette (these are brill cause when u use up all of one shadow u can remove the lil pot n replace it with a new one!! or if you want a similar palette for a little cheaper than the MAC one get yourself a Fuschia palette they are great quality (the fuschia and mac eyeshadows fit in both the fuschia and mac palettes)

two tone lips

This is really easy to do!!! just choose to complementary colors like purple and gold, red and black, pink and purple, red and white, white and black etc!!
choose the lipstick colour first (harder to get every color in a lipstick) apply lipstic all over lips as you normally do then choose your second colour in a pigment form!! apply using a small brush or your finger to the inside of the lip top and bottom! and there you have it two tone lips!!!!

Leopard print look

How to achieve this leopard print look!!! Great for halloween!!
Apply your favorite foundation concealer and loose powder for a flawless look!!!
Take a blue pigment (or whatever colour you want your leopard print look to be im going with blue) and cover the forehead down the temples and cheeks!! Blend the edges to make the blue color melt into your natural skin tone!!
then take either a black eyeliner pencil or liquid liner and draw the shape of the leopard spots big and small over the blue shadow!!
then in the centers if the big spots use a darker blue lipstick, eyeliner or cream eyeshadow!!
this look works brill with big bold lashes, black lipstick and even a black nose and whiskers which can all be applied using a black eyeliner!!!!

Gosh pigments

Time for another review!!!!!
I got several pigments from Gosh and thought id share with you what i thought of them!!
I got a green a pink and one called Wonderland!!
The green is lovely with slight tones of gold! it goes on light but you can build it up not too much tho.... too many layers and it starts to fall off and fade!
the pink is a beautiful shade of pink but the same as the green it goes on light so needs alot of building up but doesnt stay well the more you build it up!!!
The wonderland is a light pink with glitter throught it it is a lovely shade especially for highlighter over the cheeks for a beautiful dewy look but one bad thing is the glitter falls off instantly!!!

industrial shoot

I had a very busy day of shooting last monday first i did a shoot in pheonix park dublin with sarah kellagher and kathy silk the theme was festival we shoot at a band stand near the entrance to the zoo its was great fun and i cant wait to see the results!!! i also did a shoot in walshestown with derek mc auley and emmajane hughes it was industrial themed and was great fun too. i was sooo tired after my day of shooting!!!

benefit review

I received the benefit BAD GAL pencil eyeliner and the IT STICK for my birthday last week and I wanted to let you all know what i thought of them!!!

First the BAD GAL eyeliner!! Its a lovely soft pencil which is blacker than black!! It goes on easily and stays on very well you can use it as a liner or smudge it across your eyelid for a sexy smokey look!!!

Now the IT stick!! This is the best concealer stick Iv ever used its not chalky or powdery like most concealer sticks!! Its great for concealing dark circles!! Its a wonderful product!!! for best results apply to blemish then tap in dont rub!!

I definitly recommend these products they are brilliant and long lasting so there worth the little bit extra!!!
oh and dont forget your large parers as these are both jumbo pencils!!!

fraulein brush belt review

I had a photoshoot on thursday with Derek Mc Auley so I got to try out my new fraulein brush belt!! It looks beautiful its easy to clean and it holds everything you could possibly need in it even has a holder for your business cards!! The only negative thing I have to say is its not really made for the plus size makeup artist!! It just fits around my waist so you wouldn want to be more than a size 16 to use it!! Ill give it a 9/10 :)

relaxin

Im takin a well deserved break n havin a cuppa after spendin an hour cleanin out my makeup case!!I never realised i had so much makeup!!! everything is sparkly clean now!!! :)

I had a wonderful time shooting with Emma-Jane Anthony and Jason Mc Donald on tuesday I cant wait to see the shots so excited!!! Also I cant wait for my shoot tonight with Derek Mc Auley should be fun!!!

OH my Fraulein brush belt arrived today ill be giving a full review on it soon!!!!
